BT Hockey’s Three Stars of the Week – Week 12

Third Star
Matt Halle, forward for the Westport Lumberjacks, had an outstanding third period against the Lindsay Barncats, scoring a hat trick in just 7:50. One of those goals was the eventual game-winner. Halle currently has 5 goals and 5 assists in 9 games this season.

Second Star
Zach Paputsakis, goaltender for the South Grenville Rangers, delivered a dominant performance, stopping 46 of 48 shots to lead his team to a 6-2 victory over the Pontiac Comets. With this win, Paputsakis improves his record to 2-1-0, with a 4.42 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.

First Star
Andrew Rhynold, long-time assistant captain for the Tweed Oil Kings, had a stellar weekend. He scored 2 goals (including the game-winner) and 2 assists in a 7-3 victory over the Gananoque Islanders on Friday night. Rhynold then followed up with 1 goal (a power play goal) and 1 assist in an 8-3 win over the Deseronto Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon. He currently leads the EOSHL in goals with 14 in 9 games and also leads the league with 4 game-winning goals.
