Trade Announcement: Wolves & Mariners Swap Star Players

The Madawaska Valley Wolves have completed a trade with the Manotick Mariners, sending forward Jesse Dick to the Mariners in exchange for forward Brett McKenzie.

Jesse Dick, a key contributor for the Wolves over the past two seasons, joins the Mariners as the current 2024-25 scoring leader for the Wolves. In 38 career EOSHL games, he has recorded 31 goals and 58 points. Dick’s junior hockey experience includes stints with the Ottawa 67’s in the OHL, as well as the Kemptville 73’s and Pembroke Lumber Kings in the CCHL.

Brett McKenzie comes to the Wolves with an impressive hockey resume built on hard work, grit, and leadership. McKenzie was a 1st round draft pick of the North Bay Battalion in the OHL, where he played alongside current Wolf Jared Steege. He was later drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in 2016. In four EOSHL games this season, McKenzie has tallied 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points.
